Job Description:
We are a team of committed engineers working on all aspects of repair engineering across the perimeter of forward and aft fuselage as well as doors. When customers find issues in the fuselage of their aircraft, we are ready to support them by delivering quick and efficient repair solutions to enable the safe operation of the aircraft and to keep their fleets airworthy.
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

What you will be doing
You will provide repair solutions to our customers, focusing on the stress analysis of the repair and its justification. You will analyse the structure according to design principles and document the results for the technical approval
You will coordinate the on time delivery of input data from various teams (Airbus internal, risk sharing partners and sub-contractor)
You will support the development of our repair engineering centres in the U.S. and India
You will propose and implement ideas for improving our day to day work but also making life easy for our customers in an agile project set-up
You will develop yourself further by supporting digitalisation & technical improvement projects within airframe perimeter
About you
You studied Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
You have a good knowledge of overall aircraft design, primary structure principles and understanding of stress and airworthiness requirements
You have at least 3 of experience in the stress analysis (static and/or F&DT) of metallic and/or composite structures, doing stress justifications.
Experience in MAP, Plant Engineering or Repairs, or approver delegations, even in other areas, are considered a plus.
You have a good knowledge of design or stress analysis tools (i.e. ISAMI), knowledge of AIRBUS tools & manuals (SRM, NTM…) is a plus
You have a strong sense of responsibility and are willing to develop yourself to gain AIRBUS technical signature delegations
You are customer oriented to find and propose the best solution to fit customer needs, also under time pressure (passengers may be waiting!)

Please note that we work on a "Follow the Sun” set up, with the teams in Europe, US, China and India taking care of their respective time zones, including weekends. In Hamburg, a reduced group (2-3 people) is working on the weekends to cover our time zone.
Of course, there will be a compensation in terms of free days during the week, and monetary reward.
Most of the team members do, on average, 4-5 weekends per year, and the planning is defined at the beginning of the year so that you know in advance the weekends you will work.
