As Vice President of Operations, you will own how exmox operates at scale, with a particular focus on HR, Finance, and Legal as the backbone of a high-performing, scalable organization.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll work closely with our management team, our parent group AONIC, and senior leaders across the organization. Your mission is to raise the operational baseline of the entire company. You will drive clarity, structure, and execution in a way that allows exmox and its leaders to operate at an even higher level.
This is a role defined by ownership, not hours. You take responsibility end to end and step in when it counts.
What you’ll own
- How the company operates
Own and evolve how exmox runs day to day. Ensure teams can execute efficiently and at scale, with clear ownership, minimal friction, and high operational standards. - From strategy to execution
Turn company strategy into clear operational priorities and execution. Goals are well defined, progress is visible, and execution quality stays high as the company grows. - High-performing leaders & teams
Be a sparring partner to operational leaders. Raise accountability, leadership effectiveness, and execution standards across HR, Finance, Legal, and related functions. - Scalable structures & decision-making
Design and adapt org structures and decision frameworks that support growth, clarify accountability, and enable fast, high-quality decisions. - Performance, accountability & insight
Create transparency across operational performance. Define the right metrics, surface risks and bottlenecks early, and drive cross-functional performance. - Finance, Legal & governance execution
Partner closely with Finance and Legal to ensure budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and governance operate reliably, transparently, and in line with group expectations. - Cross-functional alignment
Connect teams across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, Sales, HR, Finance, Operations and Support to ensure shared priorities, clear interfaces and coordinated execution. - Preparing exmox for the next stage
Build the operational maturity required for the next phase of growth, in line with AONIC and IPO-level expectations.
Your profile
- Experience in fast-moving environments
Senior experience in top-tier consulting and/or operational leadership, applied in fast-growing tech or digital businesses. - Proven scaling & structuring experience
Hands-on experience scaling organizations and adding structure while keeping execution fast. A strong sense for when process helps and when it slows things down. Clear understanding of how operations, people, and business outcomes connect. - Leadership Capabilities
The ability to empower leaders, create clarity, and hold teams accountable, while enabling ownership and growth. - Comfort with Finance, Legal & HR
Close collaboration with Finance, Legal, and HR on topics such as budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and governance. - C-level presence
Comfort collaborating with C-level and engaging senior stakeholders, including investors and group leadership. - Clear and confident communicator
The ability to align, challenge, and influence executives, leaders, and external partners around a shared direction. - Fluency in English and German
We operate primarily in English as an international team. To work effectively with key stakeholders and partners, fluency in German is required.

Please note: this is not a remote only position, we offer you a flexible hybrid model here in Hamburg, Germany - working from home on Mondays & Fridays, coming to the office on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday!
