Definition working student

Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.
This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.
Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

• Manage the flow of materials to Airbus and find solutions to solve AOG (Aircraft on ground) situation.

• You will support the team to develop creative ideas to satisfy short term demand.

• You will communicate demand to suppliers and take care of placing and following up orders, analyzing late deliveries and managing recovery plans.

• You will also monitor Supply Chain performance on a day-to-day basis and maintain regular contact with suppliers.

• You will maintain regular communication with the internal customers about progress of the order. You like working on short term demand in a reactive and proactive approach and think out of the box to propose solutions.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student in the area of Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or an equivalent field of study

• You have a good level of English

• Knowledge of German, Spanish or French would be a plus

• You are a good team player with excellent communication skills, and are perceptive and customer-oriented
