Airbus Aerostructures includes four production sites in Germany responsible for the structural assembly of the Aircraft: the headquarters in Hamburg with plants in Augsburg, Brasov, Bremen, Nordenham, Stade and Varel where work goes on today on the aerostructures of tomorrow's aircraft.

This position is part of the strategic procurement organization in the team responsible for all Materials (Metallic, Composites) and Standard Parts (Chemicals, Paints, Fasteners). The team is based across four sites in Germany and has strong connections with the other divisions of Airbus. As this is a new organization it offers plenty of space to innovate and build new ways of working that will make this organization successful.

Definition working student

Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.

This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.

Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

You will gain a valuable experience in Procurement by contributing to the team’s operation and development with the following activities:

• Support in establishing, implementing and improving category strategies in coordination with the other Airbus entities (contract co-owners).

• Creating documents for the team to represent the product category.

• Supporting the Preparation of portfolio & market analysis to define ASA specific optimization in collaboration with Buyers and Project Managers.

• Supporting the buyers in the core procurement tasks (CFT, RFP, Contract Management, Claims Creation, Supplier Profile Creation, Management Briefing).

• Taking over organizational tasks.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled Bachelor’s or Master’s full-time student (d/f/m) in the area of Business Administration, Engineering, Informatics or an equivalent field of study.

• Interest in the area of Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics and Project Management.

• Ability to work autonomously/ teamwork spirit/ customer and supplier oriented behavior.

• Positive energy, creative, open to learn any of the required IT tools. Ideally you can code in Google App Script.

• Ability to analyze complex data.

• Good communication skills.

• English Fluent, German at conversational level, French would be an advantage.
