Responsibilities
- Managing the project portfolio, reporting and negotiating project contracts with internal and external clients
- Taking responsibility for planning, coordinating and monitoring research and development projects in the field of process engineering
- Optimizing existing processes or developing new process concepts as part of process development across the group, achieving optimal cost-effectiveness, observing safety and sustainability, and adhering to deadlines and budgets
- Development and application of methods and guidelines for the process engineering department.
- Analysis and assessment of the feasibility and relevance of proposed complex processes and manufacturing routes for chemical products, their development and modification under the guidance of experienced colleagues
- Coordination and maintenance of efficient and cooperative collaboration between clients, internal departments and external know-how providers
- Administration of the knowledge management system, promotion of cooperation and the exchange of knowledge between employees through forums, wikis, blogs and other collaborative tools (cooperation with universities/committees/attending conferences)
Requirements
- Successfully completed diploma or master's degree in the field of process engineering, chemical engineering or a comparable field of study with a focus on chemical reaction engineering/ doctorate desirable
- Extensive professional experience with relevant practice in one's own field at a high level of qualification with a focus on chemical reaction engineering with reaction kinetics and reaction engineering modeling, reactor design and reactor design
- Experience in guiding and supporting team members
- Ideally strong software skills (ACM, Python, CFD)
- Independent, result-oriented and methodical way of working, initiative and a high degree of flexibility
- Strong analytical and communication skills and strong team skills
