You can look forward to
- You play an active role in shaping the regulatory future of the (re)insurance industry. You work on supervisory frameworks such as Solvency II or international capital standards for insurance companies like the ICS, monitor legislative developments, and support a clear positioning of our company at both national and international level.
- You analyse regulatory developments (both quantitatively and qualitatively) and contribute with your assessments to decision‑making processes.
- You bring your perspective to industry associations and expert groups (including Insurance Europe, the Reinsurance Advisory Board, the CRO Forum) and work with other specialists to develop positions that support the industry’s progress.
- Through your work with these associations and expert groups, you engage with political decision‑makers in Germany, Europe, and worldwide, building a strong international network.
- You represent our interests in relevant industry associations and and vis‑à‑vis supervisory authorities at the German and European level.
- You work closely with colleagues from Risk Management, Underwriting and our global locations. Together, you develop solutions, share knowledge and support each other.
You come equipped with
- A completed master’s degree in financial or business mathematics, economics or a comparable field; alternatively, you are a qualified actuary (DAV – German Actuarial Association, or equivalent).
- Interest in political developments and regulatory frameworks – ideally with a link to Solvency II or international supervisory frameworks.
- Excellent German and English skills; you communicate clearly, respectfully and in a way that fits your audience.
- The ability to explain complex topics clearly and make them accessible for different target groups.
- A confident and considerate manner when working with authorities, associations and political decision‑makers.
- Willingness to undertake regular international business trips.
- You stay on top of complex issues, identify key connections and develop practical solutions.
- You enjoy working with others, bringing your own perspective and including different opinions constructively.
