About the role.
As a Senior Regional Technology Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling and supporting digital and industrial technology performance across our EMENA facilities. Working closely with local engineering, operations, maintenance and global technology teams, you will contribute to the continued digitalization, reliability, and cyber security of our IT & OT environments.
This role is central to accelerating technology transformation within McCain’s manufacturing footprint.
Tasks
What you’ll be doing.
- Own the technology estate within the local plant and the regional business.
- Onsite technology and employee support
- Deploy global technology standards and industrial cyber security controls.
- Provide technical expertise on industrial automation and OT systems (PLC, SCADA, network, drives…).
- Act as first point of contact for troubleshooting critical systems across assigned locations.
- Lead or contribute to infrastructure modernization and digitalization projects.
- Analyze performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with global IT/OT teams on architecture, standards and solution implementation.
- Ensure compliance with operational reliability, safety and cyber security requirements.
Requirements
What you’ll need to be successful.
- Degree in Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial IT or related field.
- Proven experience in industrial/manufacturing environments (minimum 5 years).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networks (CCNA level) and Microsoft Windows environments.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, industrial networks and automation architecture.
- Familiarity with industrial/manufacturing cyber security standards (e.g. IEC 62443/KRITIS).
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities across different sites and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Fluent in English and German — additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the EMENA region.

This team partners closely with:
- Regional technology teams –supporting the day-to-day needs of the regional business
- Global technology teams – network, infrastructure, cyber security, architecture
- Local plant engineering and maintenance teams – to ensure systems reliability and operational continuity
- Operations and supply chain stakeholders – to enable digitization and performance improvement
