• Development of mechanical and opto-mechanical system architecture of a complete product in the field of lidar and imaging optics

• Collaboration with physicists, electronics and mechanical engineers to develop a complete system

• Collaborating with product management, software engineers and other important stakeholders

• Design of opto-mechanic system architecture in Siemens NX

• Engage in technical negotiations with suppliers

• Interactions with suppliers and participation in processes to access component and assembly’s manufacturability

• Design and validation of prototypes to series production

• Manage prototype- and product testing

• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes within the R&D Team

This is you 

• University background in mechanical engineering or equivalent

• A flair for number-crunching & theoretical aspects of mechanics / physics

• Familiar with ISO GPS and 3D design in CAD system

• Experience in opto-mechanics and sensorics is a plus

• Entrepreneurial mindset, a proactive attitude and a hands-on mentality

• Open-minded team player with great interpersonal and communication skills

• You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary and international team using English and German
