As an Electrician at BAT, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations. You’ll lead major preventive maintenance, overhauls, installations, and commissioning of key technologies such as the Protos Cigarette Maker, GD Cigarette Packer, or KDF Filter Maker.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Responding to plant breakdowns and ensuring minimal production disruption
• Performing planned inspections and preventive maintenance
• Supporting electrical network management and ensuring >95% plant availability
• Participating in utilities shutdowns and providing detailed electrical scopes
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety standards
• Supporting production teams with timely electrical solving
• Installing and commissioning equipment upgrades and special projects
• Maintaining clean and organized workspaces and control panels
• Delivering PM schedules for MV/LV substations and distribution boards
• Monitoring utilities and collecting performance data
• Reporting plant conditions and supporting machinery installations
• Ensuring machine safety and proper maintenance
• Documenting all significant work and participating in departmental projects
• Championing IWS (Integrated Work Systems) for improved productivity and safety

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Min. 3 years’ experience with Utility Equipment (e.g., Power Generation, Steam Boilers, HVAC, Water Treatment, etc.)
• At least 2 years in an FMCG environment
• MV Switching Certificate (ORHVS)
• N4 Electrical Engineering Trade Test
• Strong experience with Medium Voltage systems in manufacturing
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and apply electrical drawings
• Knowledge of spare parts planning and basic costing
