For an international Ingredients Distributor we are looking for the

Business Unit Manager Food Ingredients Distrubution

  • selling Food ingredients in DACH is your business
  • you are in charge of a team of a Team of 15: Technical Sales Managers, Customer Service representatives, Acountants e5c.
  • Products are value-added products from well-known suppliers
  • office based and home office based

Must have for this positon is:

  • Team Leading experience
  • Master's Degree in Food Technology or similar
  • Ability to solve technological problems and the passion for developing food products
  • Deep knowledge of value added food Ingredients
  • You will apply with a CV and Cover letter

Tasks

  • Develop commercial and product strategies for specified ingredients
  • Analyze the market and product range of our suppliers to find new potentials
  • Create strong relationships with our suppliers and customers
  • Visit customers, analyze their needs, create a value proposition
  • Attend production trials at customers / make small-scale trials in the application kitchen
  • project management in close cooperation with a dedicated Customer Service Manager
  • Align sales strategy for suppliers’ product groups under the supervision of Product managers and Country managers
  • Responsible for making market strategy, purchasing, and selling of assigned Product-groups in Germany
  • Building a close relationship with our suppliers and customers
  • Visits of customers, analysis of their needs, creation of value propositions
  • Participation in production trials at the customer/implementation of small-scale trials in the application kitchen
  • Project management in close cooperation with the responsible Customer Service Manager
  • Alignment of the sales strategy for the product groups of the suppliers with the help of the Category Managers and the Country Manager
  • You will benefit from numerous pieces of training (internal and abroad) every year.
  • Discover and understand customer’s needs and develop tailor-made solutions
  • Conduct lab, small-scale or industrial trials with customers
  • Follow up offers, payments, …
  • Develop and execute Sales Budget and forecasts …

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Technology
  • Ability to solve technological problems and passion for food product development
  • exceptionally good communication, negotiation and analytical skills,
  • high willingness to travel
  • very organized, reliable, positive thinking
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (fluent in spoken and written) Must have
  • you have a valid driving license Must have
