wanted of the next possible date for the Department of Hematology, Oncology and Rheumatology in the research group of Prof. Carsten Müller-Tidow.
The Department of Internal Medicine V of Heidelberg University Hospital is a leading center for research in Hematology and Oncology. The location of Heidelberg offers state-of-the-art infrastructure in a highly collaborative environment (NCT, DKFZ and EMBL Heidelberg).
The work of our research group (http://lab.mueller-tidow.de) focuses on stem cells and therapy resistance. We aim to understand how epigenetic dysregulation participates in the pathogenesis and chemoresistance of AML. To follow this question a broad number of in-vitro- and in-vivo-models are investigated. The final aim of our studies is to translate the experimental findings into novel treatment strategies for AML patients at diagnosis and relapse.
