Working Student (m/f/d) Developability and Formulation Associate Support

Octapharma Biopharmaceuticals GmbH a subsidiary of the Octapharma group founded in 1997 is a successful and expanding biotech company in Heidelberg. Our core business is the development of recombinant proteins produced in human cell lines for therapeutic use in humans. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Working Student (m/f/d) to support our R&D Formulation Development Team in creating buffers for screening liquid and lyophilized therapeutic proteins. The successful applicant will provide technical support in formulation studies, assist in equipment calibration and maintenance, and contribute to general tasks within the R&D department.
This temporary position is available at the next possible date at our site in Heidelberg.

What will you be doing as Working Student?

• Prepare buffers, reagents, and solutions according to established protocols
• Maintain accurate records of buffer preparation, including batch numbers and concentrations, in an electronic database
• Perform buffer analyses including pH and osmolality measurements
• Provide technical support in experiments and studies
• Assist in sample and material inventory management
• Adhere to safety and company policies at all times
• Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain a clean and organized work area

Who are you?

• Currently pursuing a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in biochemistry, biology, biophysics, pharmaceutics or a related field
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as pH meters, scales, and pipettes
• Proactive with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
