As a dedicated STACKITEER, you'll be part of the STACKIT Products division. This is where our products and services are developed, tested, and improved.
You will be part of the storage frontend engineering team and support the development of a high-performance cloud platform based on OpenStack with a focus on scaling and expansion beyond data center and national borders.
Because flexible working practices are important to us, we enable mobile working up to five days per workweek. At the same time, we view personal contact and on-site exchange at our offices in the Heilbronn area as another key success factor for our collaboration.

Your tasks
You continuously operate and optimize technical processes through efficient automation and further development in the programming languages Golang and/or Python
You are responsible for the provision of block storage volumes based on OpenStack and continuously optimize them with regard to performance and availability
You operate and manage the surrounding Linux-based system landscapes and ensure the high availability of our cloud infrastructure
You are part of a motivated team that always strives for improvements and continuously develops itself (and the products)
Your profile
You bring passion and enthusiasm for new technologies and topics related to Linux, automation, virtualization and networking
You actively drive improvements in availability and scaling and strive to automate processes
You are able to analyze and efficiently solve complex technical problems and have experience in conducting root cause analyses
You have extensive, multi-year experience in implementing and managing OpenStack and Kubernetes environments, including deployment, scaling, and optimization
In particular, you have very good know-how in the Openstack services Cinder and Nova and have experience in Openstack upstream development
You have experience in software development, including build and release management, and impress us with your advanced programming experience, especially in Python and/or Golang
