Location: Germany (with offshore and site visits as required)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Substation Project Manager to lead the delivery of onshore and offshore substation packages for an offshore wind farm project in Germany. The role will oversee all phases of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery in compliance with regulatory, contractual, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the substation package (offshore and onshore), including design, procurement, fabrication, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  
  
• Act as primary interface between internal project teams, contractors, certification bodies, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with project objectives.
  
  
• Drive HSE culture and ensure compliance with German and EU offshore regulations, standards, and company policies.
  
  
• Monitor project progress, schedule, costs, and risks; implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
  
  
• Manage contract negotiations, variations, claims, and reporting for substation scope.
  
  
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes, ensuring technical requirements and industry standards are met.
  
  
• Coordinate interfaces between substation package and other project elements (turbines, foundations, cables, grid connection).
  
  
• Lead project teams, supervise contractors, and foster a collaborative working environment across multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
  
  
• Provide regular project reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
  
  
• Proven track record (8 years) in managing large-scale energy infrastructure projects, preferably offshore wind substations or HV substation projects.
  
  
• Strong understanding of high-voltage systems (HVAC/HVDC), offshore construction, and grid connection requirements in Germany.
  
  
• Knowledge of German and EU regulatory frameworks for offshore wind projects.
  
  
• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  
  
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong focus on HSE, quality, and delivery.
  
  
• Fluent in English; proficiency in German highly desirable.
