Your Future Role
2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Stefano Carbone - Supplier Quality Group Domain Manager Electric and Propulsion and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to:
- Monitor supplier product and process quality during development, ensuring full compliance with Alstom requirements and project milestones, from part release to successful First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Lead quality activities for critical purchased parts, including risk assessments, deployment of Part Approval Process, and validation of industrial capabilities prior to production
- Ensure supplier adherence to Alstom quality specifications and SPQD plans before key project milestones such as "Go Order,” "Go Production,” and "First Train Validation”
- Manage supplier deliverables via the Supplier Quality Portal (SQP), drive timely FAI approvals, and oversee handover to serial life quality after initial deliveries
- Conduct audits and assessments, evaluate supplier maturity through FMEA, control plans, and work instructions, and resolve non-conformities up to FAI Go
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to lessons learned (REX), and participate in APSYS programs to enhance supplier performance and quality standards
All About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or quality roles, with strong operational and documentation skills
- Proficient in SAP or similar systems, with hands-on experience in evaluating special processes such as welding, painting, crimping, forging, and casting
- Familiar with international and local supplier qualification standards, including ISO, ASME, and IRIS
- Fluent in English and German, with proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and international teams
- Willing to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally to support quality and operational initiatives
