Could you be the full-time Train driver of the Railway Undertaking (f/m/d) in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen.
The Train Driver Railway Undertaking in the Train Validation department carries out all transport services, in particular transport services necessary to execute the type test of the ALSTOM vehicles intended for approval in a safely and efficiently manner. You’ll report to the Team Leader Train Validation and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to :
- Carrying out the necessary checks and inspections on the locomotive / railway vehicle prior to the journey
- Prepare train and shunting trips (if necessary, couple locomotives, adjust brakes and prepare wagon list, editing brake notes and other train documents)
- Safe, independent and economical execution of test, commissioning, workshop and transfer trips as well as shunting trips on public tracks in the Federal Republic of Germany with associated preparatory and final work
- Participation in testing the train brakes for proper functioning
- Parking the train and taking all measures to prevent unintentional movement
- Detect irregularities, malfunctions and possible dangerous situations in a timely manner, report them and act appropriately as well as arrange for their elimination and, if necessary, participate in their elimination
- Operate railway vehicles independently, safely and economically
- Carrying out maintenance and minor servicing and repair work on railway vehicles

- Completed railway operational training as a train driver (Class B and A)
- Several years of experience in railway service as a train driver
- Train driver's license according to TfV (Class B and A)
- As comprehensive as possible knowledge of traction vehicles series
- Independent working style
- Adherence to deadlines and flexibility
- Clear communication style
- Good communication skills with internal and external contacts
- Understanding of railway operations and vehicle technology
- Fluent in German C1 (English skills beneficial)
