Boeing Global Services, Consumables & Expendables (C&E) Distribution Business is looking for a Procurement Agent – Commodity Buyer (m/f/d) for the Henstedt-Ulzburg facility.
The Procurement Agent will be an integral member of the Boeing Distribution Procurement team. Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance. Supports negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions. Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions. Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues. Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities. Participates in supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
Position Responsibilities:
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Purchase consumables for MRO and OEM usage within the aerospace industry.
Integrate program, customer, product, and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation, and contracting strategies.
Conduct tenders (RFQ/RFP) and bid comparisons for the procurement of consumables in the aviation industry.
Perform continuous review and analysis of demand and supply
Prepare and execute proprietary information agreements
Support sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting contracts and agreements
Communicate performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance
Collaborate cross-functionally and with suppliers to resolve payment issues and develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
Initiate and execute supplier improvement activities, integrating results into contracting strategies.
Participate in supply chain process improvement teams and identify opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Completed a commercial apprenticeship, primarily as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, industrial clerk, or similar.
Two or more years of experience in purchasing or a logistics environment, with an emphasis on supplier management.
Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Familiarity with common ERP systems (especially SAP).
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
Proficient in the use of the MS Office package, particularly Excel, to facilitate daily tasks and data analysis.
Experience with contract management and compliance, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
