For our client, a fashion company, we are currently staffing the following position on a freelance basis:

FOOTBALL DATA SCIENTIST (M/F/D)

• Independent implementation in R/Python to identify gender-specific performance patterns
• Creation of integrated analysis using connected ball and StatsBomb data
• Development of enhanced understanding of technical in-game actions
• Provision of technical consultancy regarding the optimal structure, integration, and validation of football-related data sources for robust analytics, research, and product development
• Validation of StatsBomb and connected match ball data fusion

• Expertise in R/Python for advanced analytics and machine learning
• Experience with large-scale football datasets, including StatsBomb and connected ball data
• Strong understanding of tactical and technical aspects of football, with a focus on gender-specific differences
• Proven ability to develop scalable data pipelines and validate data fusion
• Knowledge of feature engineering, clustering, and machine learning techniques
• Ability to translate analytical insights into actionable product opportunities
