Product Design – 3D Creation Tools, 3D Asset Management and Rendering
Brand Creation Technologies is aiming to digitize our whole product design and product creation process. We are providing the tools to fuel our changing business model and are enriching and innovating our adidas product range by building / providing / integrating / connecting innovative 3D tools and solutions. By establishing an end-to-end design to production process based on 3D models for both, apparel and footwear, we will unleash new creative potential in product creation and, at the same time, streamline processes by enabling better communication and decision making. To support us on this project, we’re looking for an experienced solution architect to support us in setting up new asset generation pipelines and enable more innovative downstream use cases for our 3D files.
Task: Enable new business models and processes by leveraging our 3D creation files.
You will work on optimizing our existing production pipelines for our virtual products across APP and FTW. Furthermore, we want to use our 3D Digital Twins for new applications with our business partners, targeting new downstream use cases for Brand Partnership, Content Creation (.com) and Digital Partner Commerce.
Your tasks will include
Create and support automation workflows in our cloud-based file management solution.
Write innovative and new pipelines in our existing AWS cloud framework
DevOps for our current production pipelines and AWS architecture.
Researching on new technologies to apply them to adidas business processes
Work self-organized on small POCs to fuel and explain our ideas better to our business partners.
Required Skills
- Four-year college or university degree with focus on computer science or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient spoken and written command of English or German
At least 7-year experience in IT
At least 3-year of experience in VFX or game industry with a focus on pipeline engineering / configuration
At least 3 years of experience as a solution architect
Expert knowledge in Python and/or Typescript
Knowledge about 3D data formats (USD, GLB, …)
Knowledge about 3D tech: Raytracing / Realtime Renderers
Proficiency in working in and plugin development in least one 3D Tool (preferably Blender)
Strongly Prefered Skills
- Architecting scalable solutions in the cloud (AWS Tech, CDK)
Experience in distributed compute systems and queue management.
Prior work with databases and web stack (rest APIs, Open Search, … )
Experience in streaming platforms (Event Bus, Apache Kafka, SQS)
Basic knowledge in numerical mathematics and computer graphics / geometry processing
Contribution to open-source projects is a plus
Experience in CI/CD technologies (e.g., Jenkins)
Knowledge how to train and use AI technology
GPU shader programming is a plus
