Mechanical Engineer for Design and Dimensioning of Flat-Product Equipment (f/m/d)

YOU ACT

You are responsible for the design and dimensioning of equipment for flat products, particularly in mechanical engineering and structural mechanics; additionally:

• Design, dimensioning and optimization of machine components and plant technology with regard to component strength, service life and economic efficiency
• Execution of static and dynamic dimensioning of structures and components for flat-product technology in the areas of rolling mill technology and strip processing lines
• Development of calculation models and methods for the design of components and systems
• Providing methodological support to the departments
• Responsible execution of development projects
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and support during commissioning and in sales projects

YOU KNOW

You have a completed degree in engineering (mechanical engineering or equivalent). In addition, you have already few years of wroking experience. Other important skills and qualifications:

• Solid knowledge of machine elements and mechanical design
• Very good experience with simulation tools (FEM methods)
• Very good knowledge in the field of fatigue strength and corresponding design guidelines (FKM guideline, Eurocode)
• Good skills with CAD programs (ideally Creo Parametric)
• Open-mindedness, ability to work in a team, and resilience
• Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
• Willingness to travel worldwide
• Business-fluent German and very good English language skills
