Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Function as main point of contact for lab operators and other stakeholders regarding LIMS topics
- Support local LIMS implementation, provide continuous troubleshooting and ensure alignment with global functions
- Coordinate locally assigned LIMS resources and take over a key function within the digital lab team
- Train and coach LIMS users on current topics (training preparation, execution, and documentation), actively drive knowledge exchange, and present current status
- Manage the hardware setup needed for LIMS usage (e.g. printers, tablets, scanners) – act as the interface between laboratory and IT activities
- Represent the department in global the LIMS project workstream as the lead for the Analytical Characterization department
- Drive continuous improvement of implemented LIMS modules and workflows and ongoing implementation of further features (locally and globally)
- Ensure good documentation practices and ensure overall compliance with local and global development compliance standards
- Author LIMS related compliance reports, study protocols, SOPs and oversee the procedural landscape
- Act as a technical expert in audits and inspections, internally and externally, in respect to LIMS, as needed
- Participate in global lab-related initiatives for digital documentation systems and Lab IT support (e.g. Setlab)
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Minimum: Degree in preferably (but not mandatory) a PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioanalytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry or other natural sciences with 3 years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry; or Master of Science with 6 years / Bachelor of Science or equivalent technical education with 12 years of relevant experience in the area of instrumental analytics.
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge, preferably a strong background in IT laboratory systems/LIMS (e.g. LabVantage, Flow, IDBS, etc.)
- Good knowledge of analytical characterization of biopharmaceutical products and related lab processes in the industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; willingness to work in interdisciplinary, international teams, strong record of creativity, problem solving and productivity in projects.
- Business-fluent English language skills
- The job is based in Holzkirchen and requires on-site presence on most days.
