Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and drive cross-functional corporate strategy projects aiming to steer and shape Sandoz mid- and long-term growth and success, including:
Overall Corporate or Business Unit Strategy shaping and refinement
High-profile M&A and Business Development
Creation and definition of growth and efficiency opportunities incl. business case development
Business, product, and project assessments
Market and competitive analysis
Depending on project size, either lead the project together with the Head of Corporate Strategy Team or lead key workstreams autonomously, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Key activities include:
Analyzing ambiguous problems, developing structured approaches, and implementing effective solutions
Extracting meaningful insights and actionable recommendations from complex data
Managing cross-functional (senior) stakeholders and owning overall project (workstream) governance and charter
Communicating effectively and with precisions with all audiences, including Sandoz Leadership Team, to ensure message resonate
Continuously identify improvement possibilities and contribute to their implementation fostering your own entrepreneurship within Sandoz
Support on ad-hoc challenges and sprints to accelerate operative business decisions
Create key strategy documents and memos to facilitate, for example, the yearly Strategy Cycle with Sandoz Board of Directors
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
3 years+ of experience in Top Tier Consulting firms (such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain) with relevant project experience
Preferably full specialization into life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceuticals or generics throughout professional career
Familiarity with finance and financial business planning, decision making, as well as reporting
Ability to lead smaller projects and drive independent workstreams in the context of a broader, cross-functional team
Demonstrated ability to synthesize information to develop recommendations and persuade / influence organization of recommended path
Excellent analytical skills (problem structuring and problem solving) allowing to handle complex data incl. financial modelling
Leadership/Project experience in matrix organization to manage without authority
Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
Agility in shifting between various projects and to be accountable for individual & team
Comfort with high-paced environment and ambiguous, often-changing challenges
Proven self-starter with high standards of excellence and an innovative mind
Proficiency with MS Office (esp. PowerPoint, Excel), statistical programming/analytics/visualization (e.g., Tableau, SQL, Python)
Languages: English is a must, ideally also German
