As an Applied Data Scientist, you will play a key role in driving smart product development and portfolio management through data-driven tools and solutions. With a strong chemical and scientific background, you will bridge the gap between research and advanced analytics to create innovative solutions that shape the future of our business.
- Implementing advanced machine learning techniques and data modeling.
- Leading customer projects and contributing to R&T's digital strategy.
- Enhancing the digital platform PropheSY™ and supporting innovation initiatives.
- Aligning data science strategies with Group IT and advising on R&T requirements.
- Coordinating stakeholder needs and promoting best practices across teams.
- Supporting both cloud and on-premises solutions with scalable, efficient models.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields; or equivalent professional experience.
- Solid experience in data science within research and technology environments, ideally with exposure to the chemical, food, or flavor industry.
- Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning.
- Experience with Databricks, R, or KNIME.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps (Git, Docker, Bash).
- Familiarity with ModelOps tools (e.g., MLFlow) is a plus.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in German is highly desirable.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Open to new technologies and ideas.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
