Your role
Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces and driving innovation on a global scale? Join us as the Head of our Global Safety Center of Excellence, Occupational Health & Safety and help shape a world-class safety culture across our international operations. In this high-visibility role, you’ll collaborate with business leaders, operations, and the ONE Safety team to set new standards for excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Corporate, Regional, and Site teams to align and achieve shared safety goals.
- Develop and enhance the Safety Elements Framework (including Contractor Management, Emergency Response, Audits & Inspections, and more).
- Provide expert guidance for high-risk mitigation and safety programs (Golden Rules, Lessons Learned, Hot Sites Turnaround).
- Oversee quality control of root cause analysis, focusing on recordable and severe incidents.
- Revitalize and embed the Golden Rules & Lessons Learned cycle in field operations.
- Create and implement safety rules for Laboratories & Office environments.
- Lead the development of global safety training programs and materials.
- Direct the management of digital safety tools and processes.
- Ensure safety reporting and data assurance meet CSRD/ESG requirements.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in health & safety projects.
- Monitor and respond to evolving regulations, trends, and market conditions.
- Benchmark externally to identify and implement best-in-class risk management tools.
- Collaborate with HR to foster a safety feedback culture and develop competencies.
- Represent the company in global safety workgroups and escalate non-compliance as needed.
About you
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in global health and safety leadership within manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Proven leader of large, dispersed, or matrix teams
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinker with sound judgment and a drive for innovation
- Ability to develop and execute safety strategies at global and local levels
- Skilled at motivating, influencing, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
- Experience facilitating safety committees, workshops, and team interactions
- Expertise in international safety regulations and standards
- Lean/Six Sigma and change management experience
- Fluent in English; additional languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, German) highly desirable
