Your Role
As Manager Food Safety Risk Monitoring , you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Symrise’s raw materials and finished products by proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to chemical contaminants, residues, and food fraud. You will monitor and analyze internal and external data sources, assess potential threats, and coordinate testing strategies to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance.
- Monitoring and analysisof global databases, scientific literature, and regulatory updates to detect emerging risks related to contaminants, residues, and fraudulent activities in the food and feed supply chain.
- Risk assessmentof Symrise’s raw material portfolio and finished products, evaluating potential impacts on safety, quality, and compliance.
- Development and coordinationof contaminant and residue testing strategies, with a primary focus on the HOL-Site and support for global operations.
- Design and implementationof proactive food safety concepts and mitigation strategies to reduce exposure to contaminants and fraudulent practices.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholdersacross quality, procurement, and regulatory teams to align on testing protocols and risk communication.
- Interpretation and applicationof international food safety regulations to ensure compliance and guide strategic decisions.
About You
- Expertise in SAP, particularly the QM module.
- Advanced skills in internet and database research for identifying food safety risks.
- Proficiency in AI prompting for data analysis and risk identification.
- In-depth knowledge of raw materials used in flavors, fragrances, and cosmetics.
- Strong understanding of global food regulations and their application.
- Experience in the flavor and fragrance industryis highly desirable.
- Fluency in both German and English is required (written and spoken).
