Your Tasks
At QIAGEN, our sales teams are at the heart of our mission—empowering customers to unlock valuable insights from biological samples. We are seeking a driven and consultative Account Manager to join our team and manage key accounts in the Emilia-Romagna region. This role offers the opportunity to drive growth and support customers by delivering innovative "Sample to Insight" solutions across the Life Sciences and Molecular Diagnostics markets.
As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying customer needs and aligning them with QIAGEN’s cutting-edge solutions. You will lead strategic sales initiatives and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth across assigned accounts in the Emilia-Romagna territory.
- Understanding customer workflows and requirements to position QIAGEN solutions through a consultative selling approach.
- Managing the entire sales process from initial engagement to contract negotiation and closing, including support during the procurement lifecycle.
- Planning and executing weekly and monthly field activities with accurate sales forecasting and CRM updates.
- Representing QIAGEN at national scientific congresses, building new contacts and strengthening existing relationships.
- Staying up to date with market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in Life Sciences and Molecular Diagnostics.
Your Profile
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field is required; a PhD or significant laboratory experience is a plus.
- Solid scientific knowledge, including familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA purification, PCR, NGS, and digital PCR. Knowledge of QIAGEN products is advantageous.
- Proven sales experience in the Life Sciences and/or Molecular Diagnostics industry, ideally including capital equipment sales and complex solution selling.
- A strong business acumen with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans independently.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to fast-paced environments, and provide solutions in complex scenarios.
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 70%) across Emilia-Romagna and to national events.
- Fluency in both Italian and English is mandatory, with strong communication skills in both languages (written and verbal).
