Aufgabengebiet
Position SummaryThis senior role combines financial accounting and controlling responsibilities for Polish legal entities within a large, international corporate group. The position partners closely with global and regional finance teams, business leaders and external advisors to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong governance and value-adding financial insights in a multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee period-end close activities in accordance with Polish GAAP and US GAAP
- Ensure high-quality financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to corporate accounting policies
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, foreign exchange adjustments and other closing entries
- Own intercompany accounting, reconciliations and transfer pricing compliance
- Deliver monthly financial results, including variance analysis and management reporting insights
- Act as a senior finance partner to the business, providing guidance on accounting, performance drivers and financial risks
- Collaborate with FP&A, Operations and international finance hubs to support planning, forecasting and performance management
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and enhancements to internal controls
- Coordinate external audits and work with professional service providers on statutory and regulatory filings
- Oversee VAT and local regulatory reporting in cooperation with external advisors
- Support cross-border finance initiatives and align with European and global controllership teams
Anforderungsprofil
- Fluent English & Polish language skills required
- Extensive experience in accounting, controlling or financial reporting within a multinational corporate environment
- Strong hands-on expertise in Polish GAAP and solid exposure to US GAAP (or IFRS)
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; advanced qualification is an advantage
- Ideally background in Big 4 audit or advisory
- Proven ability to combine technical accounting knowledge with commercial and performance-oriented financial analysis
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills in an international, matrixed organization
- Structured, proactive mindset with a track record of driving improvements and change initiatives
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and enterprise financial systems
