Dynamic42 GmbH operates as a contract research organization in the market segment of preclinical drug development, where we test the effects of drug candidates on human in vitro organs, disease and infection models. Our company is located in Jena at the Technology Center
Beutenberg Campus. We are a young, growth-oriented company where cutting-edge technologies are developed and adapted for commercialization. In our company, the maintenance of cell culture/biochips, the preparation and performance of biological analyses and the management of biological samples are central tasks.

We are therefore looking for a technical employee to strengthen our laboratory team in the areas of laboratory organization, cell culture maintenance and biological order processing.

Your profile
• Completed training as a biological (chemical) technical assistant (B(C)TA) or medical technical assistant (MTA) or completed bachelor’s degree in biology/biochemistry/biotechnology.
• Several years of extensive practical experience in a cell culture laboratory.
• Cell culture experience with human cell lines and primary cells as well as cells of animal origin, optional: iPSC.
• Good command of English.
• High level of commitment, initiative and independence (willingness to do small cell culture work on weekends desirable).
• High sense of responsibility and meticulous work ethic.
• Knowledge of organ-on-chip/microphysiological systems is helpful.
• Extensive experience in analysis, sample management, chemiluminescence and fluorescence-based assays, immunofluorescence, cell microscopy; also experience in flow cytometry desirable, experience in LC/MS is a plus.
• Willingness to work on customer orders.
• Experience in creating and handling SOPs and procedural instructions is a plus.
• Experience in the field of quality management (ISO 9001, ISO 13485) is an advantage.

Your challenges
• Supervision and maintenance of defined areas of cell culture.
• Supervision/maintenance and analysis of organ-on-chip models.
• Planning and careful documentation of biological contract work and analyses.
• Preparing raw data for scientists (creating diagrams, assembling cell culture images).
• Execution of work in customer orders (in coordination with the project manager).
• Organization of laboratory structures.
• Implementation and maintenance of QM documents in the laboratory.
• Support in the maintenance of genetic engineering and laboratory safety documents.
