Description
SAIC is seeking a Contractor Special Security Representative (CSSR) to support the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) program in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
AFAMS is responsible for the implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) standards that support the US Air Force, Department of Defense, and mission partners.
The role of this position is to serve as the Contractor Special Security Representative (CSSR) for the US Air Forces in Europe & Air Forces Africa Warfare Center (UAWC). Success in this position directly impacts the operational readiness of United States and partner military forces in Europe.
The Security Principal will:
- SCI Security Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility's Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) security program.
- Security Procedures Guidance: Assist in proper handling, storing, and transporting of SCI.
- Personnel Security Records: Manage automated databases and manual files supporting IA personnel security processes.
- Physical/Industrial Security: Aid in maintaining the Physical/Industrial Security Program.
- Data Management: Review and update personnel security data using the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
- SCIF Documentation: Maintain and update SCIF-related security documents including SOPs, guides, and templates.
- Inspections: Conduct both scheduled and unscheduled self-inspections, and coordinate security program reviews.
- Information Security Support: Assist with information security programs and ensure compliance with annual security training requirements.
- JWICS Management: Work with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to manage JWICS points-of-presence (POP), terminals, and user accounts.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: US Citizen and Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s and +9 years of security-related experience, or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Direct SCI Security Experience: Experience coordinating SCI security functions within a DoD environment.
- Certifications: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
- DISS Management: Experience managing Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
- Security Knowledge: Proficient in information, industrial, and personnel security concepts and practices.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including delivering security briefings.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to establish effective working relationships contributing to mission success.
- MS Office Proficiency: Skilled in using MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
- Additional Certification: DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Certification.
- JWICS Management: Experience managing JWICS point-of-presence, terminals, and user accounts.
Expected Salary Range - Highly dependent on candidate qualifications.
- $100,000 - $145,000/year
