Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities
• Utilize a wide variety of tools and methods to identify quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective action, and create methods for quality issue prevention throughout lifecycle of all products.
• Work with Operations team to identify, address and resolve quality problems.
• Troubleshoot electronic PCA’s down to component level to identify root-cause failures and work with suppliers to report and implement corrective actions.
• Work with engineering to troubleshoot defect issues.
• Maintain corrective action system and assure resolution of quality issues.
• Verify material received meets drawing criteria for inspection required parts
• Work with Supply Chain Team to maintain a system to ensures only high-quality suppliers are retained by maintaining accurate and thorough failure records.
• Maintain quality system to assure compliance with ISO-9001.
• Manage Material Review Board (MRB) Inventory Levels and resolve issues in MRB to minimize MRB Inventory levels.
• Create & manage NCMR’s for defective parts, follow-up with Suppliers for timely delivery & corrective action.
• Data entry materials received into Oracle from returned NCMR’s by Suppliers.
• Run, maintain & report NCMR Report, Supplier Late Report, Scrap Report, MRB Report
• Help keep MRB inventory dollars down by processing NCMR in a timely manner
Experience Requirements & Minimum Qualifications
• 2 + years’ experience working as a Quality Technician in manufacturing environment
• Experience troubleshooting electronic PCA’s to component level
• Knowledge of ISO standards
• PC literate; proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Word and Access; able to gain proficiency with Oracle database
• Training in Lean / Six-Sigma methodology and tools
• Experience with electro-mechanical design/assembly
