• Machinists manufacture precision components from metal and other materials using machining processes such as turning, milling, grinding or drilling.
• They usually work with CNC-controlled machine tools or manufacturing systems.
• Technical documents are used to evaluate production orders, select production methods and plan the production process.
• Programs for the CNC machining systems are created, tools, clamping devices and test equipment are selected, prepared, completed, measured and installed.
• Parts are manufactured to a high quality standard in compliance with the determined cutting values; during production, the manufactured parts are inspected according to quality guidelines.
• Production of individual parts as well as series parts
