About Stadtwerke Karlsruhe GmbH
Supplying the citizens of Karlsruhe with energy and drinking water is our mission. We tackle this together with our partner. Better supply, further thinking. Our products make life easier. Light, warmth, coolness, freshness, cleanliness, entertainment, relaxation, art appreciation, information, work simplification: everything is available at any time in the blink of an eye or at the touch of a button - thanks to electricity, natural gas, drinking water and district heating, which are delivered discreetly via pipes into the home. Over 1,100 employees at Stadtwerke Karlsruhe ensure that customers in Karlsruhe and the region can enjoy this service as uninterrupted as possible. We are at home in Karlsruhe. This obligates us to guarantee security of supply as well as to protect the environment. With sales revenues of over 600 million euros and investments of around 74 million euros, the Stadtwerke Group makes a significant contribution to Karlsruhe's economic strength. 90,000 Karlsruhe households heat with natural gas, and over 32,000 use district heating, more than 90 percent of which comes from waste heat and combined heat and power. 190,000 electricity customers can rely on us as a reliable energy supplier. The drinking water for 400,000 people in the region is of the highest quality and a healthy thirst quencher. Various heating and cooling services, as well as contracting and consulting, are promising new business areas. Investments in renewable energies and the expansion of district heating are Karlsruhe's contributions to the energy transition.
