Your Tasks
Are you passionate about shaping the future of data center networks with modern technologies and automation? As a Network Engineer, you’ll design and operate our next-generation datacenter network systems—powering millions of users across WEB.DE and GMX. Join a team that’s building a European alternative to email and cloud services, committed to privacy, digital sovereignty, and operating under European law.
Do you enjoy working with cutting-edge network technologies? Are you excited by automation and Infrastructure-as-Code? Do you want to help build secure, scalable infrastructure for millions of users?
- You will design, implement, and operate highly available datacenter network architectures.
- You will automate network operations using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
- You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement technical solutions.
- You will help ensure 24/7 operational continuity as part of a shared team responsibility.
We Appreciate
Do you have a degree in a technical field and several years of experience in building and operating complex network infrastructures? Are you confident working in agile, international teams and solving challenging networking problems? We believe the following skills and experiences will help you succeed in this role:
- Strong knowledge of protocols and technologies such as IEEE 802.1Q, BGP, IS-IS, VRF, EVPN, VXLAN, firewalling, overlay, and tunneling architectures.
- Experience with datacenter-grade network components from vendors like Cisco Nexus, Juniper, Arista, or similar.
- Proficiency in Linux-based systems and open-source routing/firewall components.
- Skilled in designing large-scale network solutions, including proof of concepts and creating high-level/low-level documentation.
- Bonus: Experience with Cisco ACI, Arista EVPN, or VMware NSX is a plus.
