Work environment: The Product Owner is part of the GenAI Competence Center in EnBW's central IT department. The Competence Center supports business units in the implementation of GenAI use cases and provides a scalable, secure tech stack for generative AI applications. The focus is on supporting projects from implementation to quality assurance, operating a high-performance infrastructure including LLM access, prompt frameworks, API management, MLOps, and governance, as well as providing reusable components and guidelines. Collaboration takes place closely with business units, data & analytics, IT architecture, and other product owners, supplemented by the management of external service providers. Technologically, modern cloud environments (Azure, AWS), containerization, CI/CD, MLOps, as well as open source and commercial LLMs are used – always with a focus on security, scalability, and compliance.

Your tasks

• Collection, structuring and prioritization of requirements from specialist departments.
• Managing implementation in agile teams (Scrum, Kanban), including backlog maintenance and sprint planning.

Collaboration with internal teams

• Close coordination with data scientists, AI developers, UX/UI designers and IT architects.
• Ensuring technical feasibility and integration into existing systems.

Collaboration with other internal product owners

• Coordination and liaison with other POs responsible for GenAI use cases.
• Ensuring synergies, consistency and reusability of components and models.
• Participation in overarching governance structures and knowledge exchange (e.g., GenAI community, best practices).
• Support prioritization and resource planning across multiple GenAI initiatives.

Management of an existing external service provider

• Coordination of cooperation with an already selected GenAI service provider.
• Definition of work packages, review of results and ensuring quality.
• Interface between service provider and internal teams to ensure target achievement and schedules.
• Conducting regular status meetings, feedback loops and escalation management.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Definition of KPIs to measure the success of GenAI products.
• Preparation of reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.

Your profile

Technically

• Several years of experience as a product owner or in a comparable role in the digital environment.
• Good knowledge of AI/ML, especially Generative AI and Large Language Models.
• Experience in managing external partners or service providers.
• Familiar with agile methods and tools (Scrum, Jira, Confluence, etc.).

Technical

• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and MLOps.
• Basic knowledge of software development and data architecture is an advantage.

Personal

• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Structured working methods, high level of personal responsibility and a passion for innovation.
• Negotiating skills and diplomatic skills in dealing with service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Required preventive medical examinations: G 37 (will be covered by NES if not available)
