Your tasks

The Corporate IT Services division is responsible for the planning, development, and operation of the group-wide internal IT for over 11,000 employees within the United Internet Group. In the Linux Application Operations team, we operate various business-critical services according to the DevOps principle – including the group-wide LDAP and identity and access management. The basis for this is technical responsibility for Linux-based systems and applications. These are continuously automated using Ansible and CI/CD. The ongoing expansion of our Kubernetes infrastructure and the transformation of our services towards cloud readiness open up a broad range of tasks.

Your core tasks include in particular:

• You will bring your expertise in operating Linux servers and applications to the Linux Application Operations team.
• They ensure stable and highly available operations, resolve faults, improve existing setups, and consistently advance automation.
• You develop new concepts, implement them and accompany them through testing until successful implementation.
• You will be responsible for planning and implementing international rollouts.

You have extensive experience administering large-scale Linux environments and working with at least one of the following technologies: LDAP, Ansible, Kubernetes, or Terraform. Your extensive practical experience, quick grasp, and strong sense of responsibility enable you to quickly familiarize yourself with complex tasks—even in challenging situations, you always maintain an overview.

In addition, you have the following qualifications:

• You have experience in using version control and monitoring systems, such as Checkmk.
• You have in-depth knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting LDAP systems.
• You have solid knowledge of programming languages ​​such as Python or Bash and enjoy automating recurring tasks.
• You communicate confidently in German and English, both verbally and in writing.
• You will take turns participating in on-call duty with your teammates.
