CODESYS is used in more than 1 million machines and systems worldwide. This makes us the market leader for hardware-independent control software in the field of industrial automation. To keep it that way, more than 200 employees work on the development and marketing of CODESYS at our offices in Kempten, Boston, Beijing, and Milan.

• Development of algorithms for motion control and trajectory planning
• Development of motion control functions in IEC 61131-3
• Conception and implementation of configurators as plug-ins for the CODESYS Automation Platform in C#/.NET
• Support of the entire software lifecycle: from specification and implementation to the development of automated tests and maintenance
• Support for our customers in the application of the developed functions

Our customers use CODESYS SoftMotion to control infeed axes, flying saws, gantries, scara robots, industrial robots, palletizers or delta robots. They use our software in a wide variety of areas, for example for packaging machines with more than 50 axes, laser cutting machines, high-precision milling machines in dental technology, milking robots, large hay cranes for automating barns or in handling systems for pick & place tasks.

Industrial controllers and motion controllers are usually separate systems. CODESYS SoftMotion transforms a CODESYS industrial controller into a powerful motion controller.

And what exactly do we do in the motion term? We develop real-time capable algorithms for trajectory planning for complex synchronous movements in CNC and robotics, kinematic models for serial and parallel robots, dynamic models for calculating the forces and torques that occur - and of course new functions that are needed in CNC and robotics.

We also develop motion blocks for single-axis and synchronous movements as well as drivers for servo drives. For the CODESYS programming environment, we develop convenient and powerful editors for axis and robot configuration, for cams and for G-code with a 3D editor. • Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering or a comparable technical background
• Good basic mathematical knowledge (analysis, linear algebra, numerics and geometry)
• Good programming skills in C and C#/.NET
• Good written and spoken German and English skills
• Knowledge of application development according to IEC 61131-3 and experience with robots/motion controllers is an advantage
