As a Senior System Engineering Professional, you will play a key role within our central System Engineering Office in shaping and implementing our System Engineering processes. You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive System Engineering approach and its successful application to complex customer projects. Your main tasks will include:

- Development of a System Engineering Framework: Conceptualization, creation, and continuous evolution of a holistic System Engineering Framework covering all phases of the lifecycle.
- Methods and Processes: Defining and implementing System Engineering methods, processes, and tools that meet the highest quality standards, specifically based on the V-Model.
- Preparation for MBSE: Creating the prerequisites for the future introduction of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
- Team Leadership: Leading a cross-functional team to create the operational portion of the System Engineering Frameworks during the execution of customer system projects.
- Mentoring: Transferring knowledge and mentoring junior System Engineers.
- Process Focus: This role does not involve developing technical systems or leading/supporting System Engineering projects. The focus is on defining and implementing the necessary processes, methods, and tools for the successful execution of system projects.

Your qualifications
- Completed university degree (Master’s/Diploma) in Engineering (e.g., Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical) or a comparable qualification.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the field of System Engineering.
- Solid experience in at least one of the following industries: Defense, Aerospace, Space, Railway, or Power Plants.
- Experience in various roles within the System Engineering lifecycle, e.g., System Architect, System Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of System Engineering principles, methods, and tools.
- Comprehensive experience with the V-Model and its application possibilities.
- Basic understanding of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) approaches and their potential.
- Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 15288, EN 50128).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
- Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Teamwork and assertiveness.
- Independent and structured working style.
- Fluent written and spoken English and German
