We are searching for a Manager R&D Arc/Spark-OES (m/f/d) for our headquarter in Kleve.

Your key responsibilities in the position Manager R&D Arc/Spark-OES at SPECTRO Analytical Instruments, one of the pioneers in this exciting field will be as follows:

You shall own the New Product Development (NPD) projects for A/S-OES executed by R&D teams, establishing an agile network of skills and specialist capabilities for the mobile and stationary arc/spark-OES product lines. Scientifically and technically, you lead the A/S-OES-R&D-Team, providing expertise and knowledge in this field to R&D-internal and external customers, both inside and outside of SPECTRO. Your expert knowledge and relevant experience enable you to create a compelling technology roadmap to address market trends and ensure product and capabilities evolution. You head the R&D A/S-OES internal "innovation accelerator/incubator” with the overarching goal to de-risk projects and address or even create new markets, specifically focusing on relevant technology push factors (e.g., artificial intelligence, etc…) and their impact on the A/S-OES use and users of the future. You implement NPD plans based on industry standard processes, resulting in schedule, budget and specification alignment. If required, you lead external engineering partners to supplement our internal core strengths with a strategic network of innovation suppliers. You champion an environment for conceptualization and innovation, agility and risk taking, demonstrating various innovation models from internal development, in-licensing, M&A and cross-BU teamwork, promote a goal-oriented working environment through empowerment and motivation and develop, retain, and recruit outstanding talent in method development and engineering while using the complementary strengths of the organization to grow strong talent.

Your skills:

You have successfully completed a qualifying university degree in the field of natural sciences (preferably in Chemistry), Engineering or Metallurgy and are a seasoned technical and analytical expert with a deep understanding and outstanding experience in the field of A/S-OES. You are ready to take on the scientific and technical responsibility for our Arc/Sparc-OES products, mobile and stationary. Your ideation & conceptualization, project management and presentation skills are outstanding, supported by an impressive fluent business English. You are ready to take the next step in your development and willing to "own” all scientific and technical aspects of R&D A/S-OES at SPECTRO.
