We are searching for a experienced and forward-thinking Strategic Procurement Manager (Software) with a main focus on S oftware and related IT-Services , to lead strategic sourcing initiatives globally , in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, AI adoption and digital transformation through effective stakeholder collaboration and high-performing supplier partnerships. You will play a key role in aligning sourcing strategies with cutting-edge technologies and future-facing business goals.

Your contribution:

• Global Procurement Leadership:   T ake responsibility for both Direct and Indirect spend ing in IT - business areas , focusing on Software and related IT-Services .

• Sourcing Strategy Development : Promote end-to-end sourcing processes for IT-spend , delivering value beyond financial contribution, understanding and translating business requirements into effective sourcing strategies that enable innovation and digital growth.

• Strategic Procurement : Lead contract negotiations and framework agreements with major IT vendors . Drive bundling, harmonization, and optimization projects across international regions . Ensure alignment with overall procurement, finance, IT and CGM’s products transformation goals .

• Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate closely with various functions, including internal IT, product management, sales, and other business units, to ensure procurement strategies are aligned with overall business objectives , as well as driving complex sourcing strategies .

• Process Optimization:  Independently manage and enhance purchasing processes from the initial offer to product delivery.

• Stakeholder R elationship Management:  Build and maintain trustful relationships with senior stakeholders, including product management, sales, and internal IT teams.

• Supplier Relationship Management:  Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, overseeing the full sourc e- to - contrac t process – from managing business needs, defining sourcing strategies and selecting suppliers, to leading negotiations and closing contracts .

• High-Value Contract Management: Utilize your extensive experience to negotiate high-value contracts with industry leaders, showcasing a successful track record in securing beneficial agreements , a nd fostering long-term partnerships with suppliers as well as with internal stakeholders.

What you bring along:

• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in procurement, particularly in IT - and T echnology sectors, with international and cross-functional experience in a global matrix organization. In-depth knowledge of:

• SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, cloud platforms, enterprise software (e.g. Office365, etc.) ;

• Licensing models (subscription, user-based, usage-based) ;

• Service-level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and legal clauses in License Agreements and IT- contracts .

• Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in negotiating large -scale strategic contracts with leading Software V endors , R esellers and IT-providers (e.g. Microsoft, VMware, Atlassian, AWS, Adobe, Broadcom, Oracle, SAP, Actian, Salesforce, Software One, CDW, etc.) and successful implementation of strategic projects.

• Collaborative Spirit: Strong, solution oriented , extroverted personality with the cap ability to independently engage daily with internal leaders and optimize global procurement strateg ies .

• Education: Completed degree in business administration or IT .

• Language Skills: F ull professional proficiency in English, Intermediate proficiency in German with willingness learning and improvement language skills , additional languages are considered as an advantage .

• Technical S kills: Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with procurement management system is a plus.

• Change-Driven: Drive for change, exceptional communication skills, commercial awareness, and ability to act as a business partner t o senior management.

• Personal Qualities: Independent, organized, and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities and capacity co collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
