Business Controller / Expert – Reporting & BI (f/m/d)

Into the future of reporting with SAP S/4HANA and Qlik Sense!

As part of the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, we are fundamentally redesigning our reporting and reporting structure. The newly formed "Reporting & Analysis" team in Central Controlling is playing a key role in our journey to becoming a company with KPI-based management and OKR-supported goal alignment. As a methodological and conceptual center of excellence, it is responsible for the reporting architecture, the definition of relevant key performance indicators, and data-based decision support.

Our goal: A consistent reporting system that integrates strategic objectives, department-specific requirements, and various data sources (primarily SAP S/4HANA). This includes establishing robust reporting governance, ensuring the quality of the control logic deployed, and further developing the technical infrastructure – from KPI frameworks and semantic data models to modern self-service BI solutions.

• As a Business Partner, you will work closely with our departments, define relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop smart data models for future-oriented, standardized reporting—both internally and externally—based on modern BI tools (introduction of Qlik Sense).
• In your role, you will then choose to focus on one of the following areas: projects & interface management, reporting & data analysis, or governance/key performance indicator quality.
• You will support cross-departmental projects related to reporting – from requirements gathering through conception to (technical) implementation – and coordinate collaboration with IT, specialist departments and external partners.
• In addition to designing powerful data models, you will develop standards for the visualization, preparation, and distribution of reports. This will ensure that business requirements are incorporated into the company-wide reporting architecture and that stringent data and reporting governance is ensured.
• With structured dashboards and the further development of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), you create the basis for sound analyses, efficient management and strategic goal tracking.

• Completed studies in (business) informatics, economics or a comparable course of study – ideally with a focus on controlling
• Several years of professional experience in controlling with a focus on cross-departmental reporting in the areas of data analysis, project and interface management and/or development of standardized key performance indicator systems and governance structures
• Solid knowledge of data analysis, modeling, and visualization, and ideally experience in using tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, and/or SAP Analytics for Office (SAP AFO)
• Experience in using ERP systems and SQL-based databases as well as knowledge of ETL processes; desirable: experience with automated workflows via scripting languages
• Very good conceptual skills, ideally know-how in project management and a deep understanding of operational processes – also across industry boundaries
