Job Description
Your tasks
- Consulting and conception: Strategic consulting for customers in the development of data-driven solutions – from requirements gathering to implementation.
- Data modeling and architecture: Design and development of high-performance and scalable data models based on Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Synapse and Microsoft Fabric.
- Reporting and visualization: Creation of interactive dashboards and reports with Power BI including DAX optimization and UX-oriented preparation.
- Microsoft Fabric projects: Implementation of modern data warehousing and lakehouse solutions based on Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, notebooks, and pipelines.
- ETL/ELT processes: Development of efficient data loading processes using Power Query, Dataflows Gen2, SQL and Spark in Fabric.
- Customer workshops and training: Conducting workshops for requirements gathering, know-how transfer and project support.
- Quality assurance: Ensuring data quality, performance tuning, and the use of best practices in data governance and security.
- Project management and team leadership: Taking responsibility for (sub-)projects, managing junior consultants, communicating with stakeholders at management level.
Your profile
- Completed studies in business informatics, computer science, mathematics or comparable courses.
- At least7 years of relevant professional experiencein the data analytics/BI environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the conception, modeling and implementation of business intelligence solutions.
- Several years of professional experience working with theMicrosoft BI Stack:
- Power BI(including DAX, M-Language, Deployment Pipelines)
- SQL Server(T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Indexing)
- Microsoft Fabric / Azure Synapse / Data Lake / Lakehouse concepts
- Experience in planning and implementing modernETL/ELT routes– ideally with Dataflows Gen2, Azure Data Factory or Notebooks in Fabric.
- Strongconsulting and communication skillsin customer contact (focus: specialist departments & IT).
- Experience indata integration of heterogeneous sources(ERP, CRM, APIs, flat files, etc.).
- Knowledge ofdata visualization, UX and storytelling with data.
- Familiar with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and collaborative tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git).
- Ability to implement complex tasks both independently and as part of a team.
