What you will work on

You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing entire projects end to end, from idea to launch. To do so, you will work closely with product, design, marketing, sales, the founders, and (of course) customers.

Your tasks will include building out the core Alpha Sophia Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) healthcare platform, solving problems such as…

- Work on our user interface that is used by our many B2B customers and their users every month
- Build efficient, reusable UI components that aid decision-makers in the healthcare space
- Develop cool and intuitive data visualizations that help generate impact, and do not drown our customers in "data dumps”
- Ensure that our tool works seamlessly both on desktop and mobile
- Build new features from our roadmap in quick iteration cycles — our feature output per person is extremely high and the impact you will have is enormous, no bureaucracy
- Implement a smooth, coherent user experience (UX) throughout our product
- Help define the foundation for Alpha Sophia engineering standards, tooling, and processes

You should bring

- At least 1 year of software engineering experience or be a computer science university graduate about to enter the workforce — we are hiring across all seniority levels
- Experience with our tech stack
- React/Typescript
- As a plus, experience with
- Tailwind CSS (utility first CSS framework)
- Next.js (React frontend framework)
- Figma for mockups
- A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and performant code
- A builder mindset — you ship MVPs that are not always perfect and iterate over time based on internal quality testing and user feedback
- A strong sense of ownership and the ability to independently make good decisions for our users and the business
- A holistic approach, comfortably shipping features end-to-end, from defining the product specifications to deploying to production
