TASKS
As a Senior Data Analytics Engineer, you will drive digital transformation, develop the analytics layer of our Data Lakehouse, and lead the data community within the Delvag Group.
- You will design, develop, and optimize the analytics layer of our central data lakehouse.
- You lead the data community and share your expertise and best practices in data analysis and data engineering at insurance companies.
- You model data structures and ensure that they are optimally usable for analyses and reports.
- You support specialist departments with analyses and reports (e.g., using Tableau or Python) and enable data-driven decisions.
- You actively participate in data and analytics projects and advise specialist departments on data-related topics. You contribute to projects and take on special tasks with creative freedom.

REQUIREMENTS

- Studies in insurance, (business) informatics or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in using Data Lakehouse, ideally with Microsoft Azure (e.g., Databricks, DataHub)
- Knowledge and practical experience in the development of data products / data domains for analysis, control or reporting at insurance companies
- Good programming skills (Python, SQL) and experience with version control (e.g. GitHub)
- Experience in managing IT projects and using agile methods
- Analytical and conceptual thinking, strong communication skills and presentation skills
- Excellent German (at least C1) and English skills (at least B2) in spoken and written form.
