To strengthen our team, we are looking for support at the earliest possible date for our German branch based in Cologne:

Underwriting Assistance Specialist Engineering (m/f/d)

Main tasks

Support for existing customers in cooperation with the underwriters
Documenting insurance policies and supplements in the sole underwriting and
management business
Administration and coordination of international programs
Processing of management, sole underwriting, participation and indirect business
IT processing of contracts including the corresponding premium bookings
Supporting the underwriters with portfolio controlling
Account clarification in the event of settlement differences
Special tasks and project work

Your profile - Professional experience/ personality/ languages/software

Completed apprenticeship as an insurance salesperson or comparable Qualification,
ideally insurance specialist or comparable studies
Good technical knowledge in the engineering sector and at least initial experience in
industrial insurance
Several years of experience in administrative activities (in the context of contract
administration of commercial and/or industrial insurance contracts in the engineering
sector) as well as in underwriting, if applicable
Very good cooperation and teamwork skills
High level of self-motivation, resilience and flexibility
Very good ability to organise yourself and work independently
Confident use of MS Office applications and internal systems
Very good knowledge of German and English

The team that you would enrich consists of 13 colleagues and is responsible in the German branch for the comprehensive support and technical implementation of international insurance programmes as well as the administrative processing and documentation of complex business transactions in the management, investment and reinsurance sectors.

Your first year with us:

0-3 months: You will get to know the organization, make initial contacts and familiarize yourself with your tasks as part of your onboarding. A buddy will be available to you regularly during this time. At this time you will also have your first meeting with the HR department so that any questions or organizational matters can be clarified.
4-6 months: You become more and more familiar with your role and have completed the majority of your onboarding. Your buddy will also support you during this time. The second interview with HR is due.
7-12 months: You have all the information and tools you need to carry out your tasks confidently and independently.
