Summary

We are seeking a Senior Program/Project Manager to join our Technology & Scientific Computing (TSC) team within the Advanced Quantitative Analysis Department in Global Drug Development. This role will lead program, project delivery for our products and technologies, define governance frameworks for all of TSC which ensure both agility and compliance with GxP and CSV frameworks. The successful candidate will partner with the rest of TSC, the broader AQS organization and IT to enable our users’ community.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Program, Project Delivery: Oversee end-to-end delivery of products and technologies using hybrid, agile, waterfall methodologies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Portfolio Management: handle the portfolio of projects within the department, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient resource allocation.
  • Define Governance Framework: establish and maintain governance frameworks to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery across all projects.
  • Coaching: provide guidance and support to project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and agile practices. Coach the TSC leadership team towards the adherence of the frameworks
  • Quality Assurance: perform regular sanity checks on the progress and delivery of programs, projects and digital products to ensure they meet the required standards and objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with GxP and CSV frameworks, adapting Novartis' methodology to meet business needs while maintaining high standards of compliance.
  • Collaboration: Partner effectively with the rest of TSC, AQS as well as the IT department to ensure overall success in servicing our clients, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in delivering technology projects, programs and products within drug development and or research environment.
  • Extensive experience in program, project management.
  • Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies and in defining hybrid working model for product/project scenarios
  • Proven ability to set up and lead cross functional teams to achieve ambitious goals
  • Proven partnering skills and ability to navigate complex organization and stakeholders from different department
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of GxP and CSV frameworks and experience ensuring compliance in a regulated environment.
