Job Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Financial Reporting & Management team within the Administration department. This team is responsible for managing the company’s core financial systems, accurately recording all order-related financial transactions, and providing transparency on customer orders and balances. You will also generate key financial reports for internal accounting and external tax authorities.

• Kotlin, Java 21, Spring framework (Boot, Hibernate)

• Oracle, PostgreSQL

• CI/CD with Jenkins pipeline

• AWS and cloud deployments (S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, etc.), using tools such as Terraform or AWS CLI, infrastructure as a code, one-click deployment

• C4 diagrams 

• Docker, Kubernetes

• Git, Scrum, Peer Review

• Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack

Your responsibilities:

You will implement, deliver, and support mostly backend solutions using microservice architecture and RESTful web services. Your work will include participating in planning and alignment with other teams, promoting and implementing test automation, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, deploying applications to the cloud using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform, and collaborating closely in an agile environment through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and incident coordination. You will also maintain existing applications and work to reduce technical debt while gaining experience in e-commerce and finance domains.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Java and Spring framework.
  
• You have experience in implementing Microservices.
  
• You understand basics of architecture landscape, technically investigate and implement new features. Being responsible for the quality of the solution you deliver is natural for you.
  
• You have interest in DevOps tools and practices (container orchestration, CI, monitoring and alerting, AWS & Kubernetes).
  
• You are interested in growing as a software engineer and participating in the whole development cycle (frontend, backend, testing, DevOps).
  
• You are an empathetic team player, able to quickly build relationships. You communicate in a clear and structured manner.
  
• You have good verbal and written communication skills in English language.
  
• You have experience working within Agile practices and have basic knowledge of Agile values & principles.
  
• You have experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development.

This will be 18 Month Fixed Term Contract maternity cover.
