Workshop Manager for Rail Vehicle Maintenance (m/f/d)

Activities

• Overall responsibility for the management and organization of the workshop
• Ensuring the timely and quality-compliant maintenance and repair of rail vehicles
• Leadership and motivation of the workshop team, consisting of 20 – 30 employees
• Planning, coordination and monitoring of all maintenance and repair work
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards
• Optimization of workflows and processes to increase efficiency and productivity
• Responsibility for compliance with cost and deadline specifications
• close cooperation with other departments such as purchasing, technology and site management
• Conducting training and further education for workshop employees

Requirements

• Completed technical training in the railway sector (mechanical engineering, vehicle technology) or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in a management position in maintenance or workshop management, preferably in the railway sector
• In-depth knowledge of the maintenance and repair of rail vehicles as well as relevant regulations, standards and laws (ECM)
• Experience in leading and motivating teams
• strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate complex processes
• high sense of responsibility and a strong hands-on mentality
• Confident handling of IT-supported maintenance systems and MS Office
• Strong communication skills and assertiveness
• Fluent written and spoken German, knowledge of English is an advantage
