About the role:
The Tax Transformation Lead plays an important role in supporting the group’s transformation to a new transfer pricing setup. Responsibilities will include collaboration with IT around the required functionality of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and conducting end-to-end program reviews at central and regional level.
This role supports and oversees program management and tax input from various functional stakeholders. The Tax Transformation Leadreports to the European Tax Director and supports them in coordinating with APA authorities and representing the tax positions of the group in audits.
Keyresponsibilities:
- Implementing and executing the tax workstream and leading transformation rollouts across various countries/regions
- Utilizing economic, finance and tax knowledge to provide advice relating to transformation projects during the design and implementation of the new ERP system
- Analyzingcosts and benefits of various tax projects including:
- Performing corridor calculation for the strategic service fee
- Supporting tax calculations for supply chain transformation project
- Calculating and executing the implementation of the new transfer pricing method into the organization with monthly analytics and annual true-up review
- Liaising directly with onshore tax and finance teams to collect and review intercompany transaction data, maintaining consistency in intercompany flow and driving process simplification
Keyresponsibilities cont:
- Performing periodic account reconciliation and margin analyses
- Evaluating financial results to ensure compliance with relevant European region transfer pricing rules
- Support the European Tax Director and local tax teams in transfer pricing audits
- Performing ad-hoc operations and tax analytics where required
Key and desired skills:
- Educated to degree level –preferably postgraduate –in economics, commerce or management stream
- Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience working in tax mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax accounting and controlling, or transfer pricing team within a multinational environment, either Big Four or in-house function
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic transfer pricing concepts
- Knowledge and experience in transfer pricing documentation and economic/benchmarking analyses is advantageous
- Knowledge of US GAAP and understanding of the differences to local GAAP implications
- Extensive experience of project management and tracking
- Accurate and efficient accounting skills with experience in number reconciliation, general accounting and intercompany accounting and controlling
- Familiarity with working on tax projects and able to work to and keep up with milestones and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in extracting, analyzingand reviewing financial data from EOS
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving work environment, comfortable working under pressure and with interruptions
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders and finance leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential
