• completed scientific university education in social sciences, economics, political science or sociology (with above average accomplishments)
• preferably a doctoral project in the research field of the professorship (autocratic politics, conflict, political violence)
• very good statistics training, especially methods of causal inference
• excellent coding skills (preferably in R) or an interest to acquire such skills
• fluency in scientific English (at least B2 or comparable)
• experience with GIS is an advantage
• fundamentals of knowledge transfer desired
