Your responsibilities
- scientific services in research for Project 2 "Optimal actions and stopping in statistical learning" within the DFG-research unit 5381
- scientific service in teaching (exercise classes or courses)
- support for research, teaching and administration tasks at the chair of Mathematical Statistics
What you bring to the table
- completed scientific university degree in mathematics or a related field
- Ph.D. degree in mathematics or a related field on a topic in mathematical statistics or statistical learning
- very good knowledge in mathematical statistics and statistical learning, preferably demonstrated by own research work
- advanced knowledge in stochastics, numerical analysis and/or optimization are advantageous
- involvement and preferably first experience in teaching
- good language skills in German and English
